Psychic Friends Network?

Here's the thing:

Prior to 9/11/01 no similar steel-frame building had ever collapsed "due to the effects of fire."
So why would ANYONE have ANY expectation -- let alone the ability to predict with certainty -- that THESE buildings would suddenly become the first to do so?

Since 9/11/01, no OTHER similar steel-frame building has collapsed "due to the effects of fire." either.

Indeed, the ONLY similar steel-frame buildings EVER to "collapse from the effects of fire" were those three on 9/11/01.

Further, while we hear the "jet-fuel-inferno-melted-the-steel-beams" theory to explain the first two "collapses," the third building, building #7 was NOT struck by an aircraft and so the "jet-fuel-inferno-melted-the-steel-beams" theory cannot possibly apply.

We have three different buildings each subjected to a very different stress, but each "collapsing" in an identical manner.

Something stinks.

But if you believe the official story of how and why these buildings came down, that's okay with me.
As long as I get to play poker with you.

I Can Stand a Little Rain

Rain.
Just a little rain.
Roads closed.
Schools closed.
Basements flooded.

For Mom Nature, hardly an increase in her pulse rate.
Just a little rain.

Summer

No doubt about it, Autumn is my favorite.
Mild days, cool nights.
Frisky ponies.
Few bugs.
Brilliant colors, melancholy mood.

But I have to respect Summer.
She keeps throwing punches.
There's no quit in her.

Even in the late rounds, getting way behind on points
She's as game as they come.
She may inevitably lose the fight
But if you're not careful
If you count her out too soon
She'll hurt you real bad before she does.

That's one thing I can't help loving about her

Good work, Martin.
Couldn't have said it better, myself.

What's in a Name?

Just a Word

'Terrorist' is just a word, one I wish I'd never heard

When it's used to vilify, without the need to question why

Only fools would swift condemn, that which has not befallen them

Until you know what lies behind, the actions of a tortured mind

Thank your God for sparing you, the suffering others have lived through

Where are the cries of just demand, for Arabs driven from their land?

Blame the victim, turn the cheek, praise the bully, kick the weak!

Mock the man who truth does speak

Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy, greed, corruption, torture, lies!

Blair invasion, sly persuasion, annihilation, massacred nation

Keep on running, karma's coming!

Money talks, truth walks, oil spills, greed kills

Tide is turning, London's burning!

Bombs will fall and blood will flow, as sure as my own name I know

Until corrupt dictators go, brutal, rotten, to the core

Their day has come, they rule no more

Show me the man who will not fight, to save his child, his home, his right!

You can call him what you like, you're not in his sorry plight

Cowards stay and Martyrs go, I know not where, but this I know

Speak your truth and stand your ground, fight your corner

When all around, point the finger, purse the lips, pin the label, 'Terrorist'!

Just a word, but one that sticks, even when the cap don't fit

But for the grace of God go I, remember that, before you cry

False accusation, names of shame, at those who may not be to blame,

Their crime, refused to play the game, of meek acceptance, dumbing down,

Your life, your choice; Warrior / Clown

Time to Swat SWAT

I can remember when it only took one policeman to deliver a warrant and to arrest a person, and without gun drawn and without breaking down the door, tasering or shooting the object of arrest. It turns out that the FBI agents who broke into the Adams home not only were at the wrong address but also didn't even have a search warrant had they been at the correct address.

The practice of sending heavily armed teams into American homes has resulted in many senseless murders of US citizens. The practice must be halted and SWAT teams disbanded. SWAT teams have murdered far more innocents than they have dangerous criminals. Hostage situations are rare, and they are best handled without violence....

I have seen studies that show that police actually commit more acts of violence against the public than do criminals, which raises an interesting question: Are police a greater threat to the public than are criminals? On Yahoo I just searched "police brutality" and up came 4,840,000 results...

Meanwhile, the real master criminals, such as Dick Cheney, who, if tried for his actions at Nuremberg, would most definitely have been executed as a war criminal, run free.
