Lynne Stewart could have gotten rich feeding at the corporate trough like so many other lawyers.
But she didn't.
Instead, she stood up for the rights of the poor, the oppressed and the powerless.
Now, she's the target of government retaliation for it.

She was arraigned before Manhattan federal Judge John Koeltl.
