If you're one of those folks who thinks it's just a few "bad apples" who make all those "good" cops look bad, here's a little something to consider:
According to the 3rd Quarter Report of The National Police Misconduct Statistics and Reporting Project, police officers committed sexual assaults at a rate of 79 per 100,000 law enforcement personnel. That rate is well over twice the rate of the general public at 28.7 per 100,000.
If you have any sense at all, the fact that rapists seem to be highly concentrated among a group of armed individuals who have the authority to detain and arrest other individuals, should be more than a little alarming.
